Striped Baby Beanie

This adorable striped beanie is designed for babies and is perfect for chilly days. The hat features alternating stripes in light grey, dark grey, and a vibrant orange hue, topped with a fluffy pom-pom for extra cuteness!

Materials Needed:

  • Yarn: Soft worsted weight yarn in the following colors:
    • Light Grey: 1 skein
    • Dark Grey: 1 skein

  • Stitch marker

Gauge:

18 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Abbreviations:

  • CO: Cast On
  • k: Knit

Instructions:

1. Preparing to Knit

  • Row 4: Purl all stitches.

5. Final Decrease

Row 16: *k2tog; repeat from * to end (6 stitches).

6. Bind Off

Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail. Pull the yarn through the remaining 6 stitches to secure. Weave in any loose ends.

7. Pom-Pom

Make a pom-pom using yarn. Aim for a fluffy and rounded shape. Attach it securely to the top of the hat.

Finishing Touches

Give your beanie a gentle wash to relax the stitches. Block if desired. Your striped baby beanie is now ready to keep your little one warm!
