Ribbed Crochet Blanket Pattern
Materials:
- Yarn: Bulky weight yarn in charcoal gray (approximately 1500 yards)
- Crochet hook: Size L (8.0 mm)
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Gauge:
4 stitches x 4 rows = 4 inches in pattern stitch
Abbreviations:
- ch: chain
- sc: single crochet
- dc: double crochet
- fpdc: front post double crochet
Instructions:
- Foundation Row: Ch 102 (or any multiple of 4 + 2 for desired width). Turn.
- Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and each across. Ch 2, turn.
- Row 2: Dc in first st, *fpdc around next st, dc in next st*, repeat from * to * across. Ch 2, turn.
- Row 3: Dc in first st, *fpdc around next st, dc in next st*, repeat from * to * across. Ch 1, turn.
- Repeat Row 3 until the blanket measures approximately 60 inches or your desired length.
- Last Row: Sc in each st across. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Finishing:
Block your blanket to the desired dimensions to smooth out and shape your stitches evenly.
