- Size 9.00 mm (M/N) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
Gauge
10 stitches and 6 rows = 4 inches in double crochet
Sizes

Pattern Instructions
Body
- Begin with a foundation chain of 60 (68, 76, 84, 92, 100, 108, 116) stitches.
- Row 1: In the second chain from the hook, double crochet (dc) across. Turn. (59, 67, 75, 83, 91, 99, 107, 115 dc)
- Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as first dc), dc in each stitch across. Turn.
- Row 3: Ch 1, hdc in the first 30 stitches, then switch to sc for the remaining stitches (this creates the textured look). Repeat rows 2 and 3 until body measures 28 inches from the beginning.
Construction
- Once the body is complete, fold in half (short ends together) to create the sleeves, placing the folded edge at the shoulder.
- Sew the side seams from the bottom up to the underarm (approximately 10 inches). This creates the armholes.
- For the collar, attach yarn at the neck and sc around for 2 rows, making sure to lace the stitches loosely to create a soft drape.
Edging
- At the bottom edge of the cardigan, attach yarn and sc evenly around. Repeat for the sleeve edges, creating a clean finish.
Finishing
Weave in all ends and block the cardigan gently to shape.
Care Instructions
Hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry.
