Crochet Rustic Textured Christmas Tree Coasters Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight yarn in green and tan
• Crochet hook size H/5mm
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors
• Optional: Small colorful beads or yarn for decorations

Abbreviations:

• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• hdc = half double crochet
• sl st = slip stitch
• st = stitch
• inc = increase (2 sc in one stitch)

Instructions:

Base of the Tree:

1. Using green yarn, ch 2.
2. Round 1: 6 sc in second ch from hook. (6 sts)
3. Round 2: Inc in each st around. (12 sts)
4. Round 3: [Sc in next st, inc in next st] around. (18 sts)
5. Rounds 4-6: Sc in each st around. (18 sts)

Upper Tree Levels:

7. Row 1: Ch 1, sc in next 6 sts, turn. (6 sts)
8. Rows 2-3: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. (6 sts)
9. Row 4: Ch 1, [sc, inc] 3 times, turn. (9 sts)
10. Row 5: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. (9 sts)
11. Repeat steps 7-11 decreasing each row by one st and increasing to shape the tree until top point is reached, end off.

Border:

12. With tan yarn, join at base, ch 1, hdc around the entire edge of tree, placing 3 hdc in corners to maintain shape, sl st to join, fasten off.

Decorations (Optional):

1. Using colorful yarn or beads, decorate the tree to resemble ornaments.

Finishing:

• Weave in all ends using a tapestry needle.
• Block coasters lightly if needed to help maintain shape.
