Crochet Festive Striped Christmas Stocking Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight yarn in red and cream
• Crochet hook size H/8 (5mm)
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Abbreviations:

• ch: chain
• sc: single crochet
• hdc: half double crochet
• sl st: slip stitch
• st(s): stitch(es)

Instructions:

Toe Section:

1. Using red yarn, make a magic circle.
2. Round 1: Ch 2 (does not count as a st), 10 hdc into the circle. Join with sl st to the first hdc. (10 sts)
3. Round 2: Ch 2, 2 hdc in each st around. Join with sl st. (20 sts)

Foot Section:

4. Switch to cream yarn.
5. Round 3-12: Ch 2, hdc in each st around. Join with sl st. (20 sts)

Heel Section:

13. Switch back to red yarn.
14. Row 13: Ch 1, sc in the next 10 sts. Turn. (10 sts)
15. Row 14-17: Ch 1, sc in each st across. Turn. (10 sts)

Leg Section:

18. Switch to cream yarn, work around the opening on the heel.
19. Round 18-24: Ch 2, hdc in each st around the entire opening. Join with sl st. (20 sts)

Cuff Section:

25. Switch to red yarn.
26. Round 25-29: Ch 1, sc in each st around. Join with sl st. (20 sts)
27. Fasten off and weave in all ends.

Hanging Loop:

• Using red yarn, attach yarn to top edge of cuff.
• Ch 20, sl st to the same st where you joined the yarn.
• Fasten off and weave in ends.
