Crochet Festive Whimsical Holiday Tree Skirt Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight yarn in Red, Green, and Gold (3 skeins each)
• Size H (5mm) crochet hook
• Yarn needle

Gauge:

12 dc x 8 rows = 4 inches

Finished Size:

Approximately 48 inches in diameter

Instructions:

Round 1:

With Red yarn, make a magic ring and chain 3 (counts as 1 dc). Work 11 dc into the ring. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain-3. (12 dc)

Round 2:

Chain 3, dc in same stitch. 2 dc in each stitch around. Join. (24 dc)

Round 3:

Chain 3, *1 dc in next stitch, 2 dc in next stitch; repeat from * around. Join. (36 dc)

Round 4:

Change to Green yarn. Chain 3, dc in the same stitch. *1 dc in next 2 stitches, 2 dc in the next stitch; repeat from * around. Join. (48 dc)

Round 5:

Chain 3, dc in the same stitch. *1 dc in next 3 stitches, 2 dc in the next stitch; repeat from * around. Join. (60 dc)

Round 6:

Change to Gold yarn. Chain 3, dc in same stitch. *1 dc in next 4 stitches, 2 dc in the next stitch; repeat from * around. Join. (72 dc)

Rounds 7-12:

Repeat Rounds 4 to 6, alternating colors and increasing by 12 stitches each round until you reach approximately 48 inches in diameter or desired size.

Finishing:

Fasten off and weave in all ends. Optionally, add pom-poms or tassels around the outer edge for a festive touch!
