Materials
- Medium weight yarn in green (for the dress), cream/pink (for the skin), red (for hair), and orange (for the accents)
- Size G/4.0 mm crochet hook
- Fiberfill stuffing
- Safety eyes or black embroidery thread for eyes
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
- Stitch marker (optional)
Gauge
Using the G hook and medium weight yarn, 4 rows of single crochet should measure approximately 3 inches across.
Abbreviations
- ch - chain
- sc - single crochet
- inc - increase (2 sc in the same stitch)
- dec - decrease (single crochet 2 stitches together)

- sl st - slip stitch
Instructions
Head
- Start with the skin-tone yarn. Make a magic ring.
- Round 1: 6 sc in the magic ring (6).
- Round 2: Inc in each stitch (12).
- Round 3: *1 sc, inc* repeat around (18).
- Round 4-8: 1 sc in each stitch (18) for 5 rounds.
- Round 9: *1 sc, dec* repeat around (12).
- Stuff the head firmly with fiberfill, adding safety eyes on Round 8.
- Round 10: Dec around (6). Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Body
- Join green yarn to the first stitch of the head. Ch 1.
- Round 1: 1 sc in each stitch around (6).
- Round 2: Inc around (12).
- Round 3: *1 sc, inc* repeat around (18).
- Round 4-9: 1 sc in each stitch (18) for 6 rounds.
- Round 10: *1 sc, dec* repeat around (12).
- Round 11: Dec around (6). Finish off and stuff if necessary.
Arms (make 2)
- With skin-tone yarn, make a magic ring.
- Round 1: 6 sc in the magic ring (6).
- Round 2-5: 1 sc in each stitch (6) for 4 rounds.
- Change to green yarn. Round 6: 1 sc in each stitch (6).
- Round 7: Inc around (12). Finish off, leaving long tails for sewing.
Dress
- Join green yarn to the bottom of the body. Ch 1.
- Round 1: 1 sc in each stitch around (12).
- Round 2: Inc in each stitch (24).
- Round 3: *1 sc, inc* repeat around (36).
- Round 4-6: 1 sc in each stitch (36) for 3 rounds.
- Change yarn to orange. Round 7: 1 sc in each stitch, then using slip stitch, finish off.
Hair
- Using red yarn, cut yarn into 12-inch strands.
- Attach hair strands to the head, tying them at the top for the part.
Assemble
- Sew arms to the sides of the body just below the shoulder line.
- Embroidery for face (eyes and smile) can be done with black embroidery thread.
- Weave in all ends securely.
