Abbreviations:

  • ch = chain
  • dc = double crochet
  • sc = single crochet
  • st = stitch
  • sl st = slip stitch
  • rep = repeat
  • FPDC = front post double crochet

Instructions:

Body:

  1. Start by chaining 60 (for size S) or desired width. Adjust for other sizes if necessary.
  2. Row 1: In the 4th ch from hook, work 1 dc, *ch 1, skip 1 ch, 1 dc in next ch; rep from * across. Turn.
  3. Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), *FPDC around the previous row's dc, ch 1; rep from * across, finishing with a dc in the last st. Turn.
  4. Row 3-30: Continue alternating between the dc and FPDC rows for desired length, ensuring to add a dc row at the end of each set.

Sleeves:

  1. For each sleeve, chain 30 (or desired width). Repeat the body stitch pattern for 15-20 rows, or your desired sleeve length.
  2. Attach the sleeves to the body by aligning the seams and sl st to join. Ensure there is enough ease for comfort.

Finishing:

  1. With your yarn needle, weave in any loose ends.
  2. If desired, add a ribbed edge by working sc stitches around the neckline and sleeve cuffs.

Now you have a beautiful, oversized pullover that is perfect for layering or on its own. Enjoy your cozy creation!
