Chunky Textured Oversized Pullover Free Pattern
Skill Level: Easy
Materials:
- Chunky weight yarn: 800-1200 yards (depending on size)
- Crochet hook: 9mm (M/N)
- Yarn needle
- Stitch markers
- Measuring tape
Gauge: 8 stitches and 8 rows = 4 inches in double crochet (unblocked)
Sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL
Choose a size that accommodates your preferred fit. The pullover is designed to have approximately 10-12 inches of positive ease.
Abbreviations:
- ch = chain
- dc = double crochet
- sc = single crochet
- st = stitch
- sl st = slip stitch
- rep = repeat
- FPDC = front post double crochet
Instructions:
Body:
- Start by chaining 60 (for size S) or desired width. Adjust for other sizes if necessary.
- Row 1: In the 4th ch from hook, work 1 dc, *ch 1, skip 1 ch, 1 dc in next ch; rep from * across. Turn.
- Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), *FPDC around the previous row's dc, ch 1; rep from * across, finishing with a dc in the last st. Turn.
- Row 3-30: Continue alternating between the dc and FPDC rows for desired length, ensuring to add a dc row at the end of each set.
Sleeves:
- For each sleeve, chain 30 (or desired width). Repeat the body stitch pattern for 15-20 rows, or your desired sleeve length.
- Attach the sleeves to the body by aligning the seams and sl st to join. Ensure there is enough ease for comfort.
Finishing:
- With your yarn needle, weave in any loose ends.
- If desired, add a ribbed edge by working sc stitches around the neckline and sleeve cuffs.
