Breezy Textured Summer Pullover
Materials
- Sport weight yarn (approximately 400-500 yards)
- Hook size H/8 (5.0 mm)
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
- Measuring tape
Gauge
16 stitches and 20 rows = 4 inches in double crochet pattern.
Sizes
This pattern is written for sizes S (M, L, XL). Adjust accordingly for different sizes.
Stitches Used
- Chain (ch)
- Slip stitch (sl st)
- Double crochet (dc)
- Shell stitch (5 dc in the same stitch)
- Single crochet (sc)
Pattern
Body
- Foundation: Ch 60 (70, 80, 90) stitches.
- Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each ch across. Turn.
- Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), *shell stitch (5 dc in next stitch), skip 2 stitches; repeat from * to end, dc in last stitch. Turn.
- Row 3: Ch 3, dc in next dc, *shell in the center of the next shell; repeat from * to end, dc in last stitch. Turn.
- Repeat Rows 2-3 until the piece measures 18 inches (20, 22, 24) from the foundation row.
- For the armholes, ch 1, sc in each stitch across. Fasten off.
Sleeves (Make 2)
- Foundation: Ch 30 (35, 40, 45) stitches.
- Follow the same stitch pattern as for the body for 12 inches (14, 16, 18).
- Ch 1, sc in each stitch for the final row. Fasten off.
Assembly
- Attach sleeves to the body at the armholes, aligning the edges.
- Seam using slip stitch or whip stitch for a clean finish.
- For the neckline, create a round of sc to finish off.
- Weave in all ends securely.
