Materials

  • Yarn: Medium weight acrylic or wool blend in ivory and gray
  • Crochet Hook: Size H/8 (5mm)
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors

Abbreviations

  • ch: chain
  • dc: double crochet
  • sc: single crochet
  • st(s): stitch(es)
  • sp: space
  • shell: 5 dc in the same st

Instructions

Ivory Section

  1. Using ivory yarn, ch 150.
  2. Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn.
  3. Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in next st, *sk 2 sts, shell in next st, sk 2 sts, dc in next 3 sts*, repeat * to * across. End with 2 dc in last 2 sts. Turn.
  4. Repeat Row 2 for desired length of ivory section, ending on a complete repeat.

Gray Section

  1. Attach gray yarn at end of last row of ivory section.
  2. Row 1: Ch 3, dc in each st across. Turn.
  3. Rows 2-5: Repeat Row 2 of Ivory Section (for pattern consistency).

Finishing

  1. Fasten off and weave in all ends using tapestry needle.
  2. Trim any excess yarn.
