Cozy Cable and Fringe Blanket Trio
Materials
- Cabled Blanket: 5 skeins of bulky weight yarn in gray
- Fringed Throw: 4 skeins of worsted weight yarn in lime green
- Textured Knit Piece: 3 skeins of chunky yarn in ivory
- Knitting needles: US size 10 (6.0 mm)
- Crochet hook for fringe
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Gauge
Gauge for each blanket will vary depending on stitch pattern. Ensure consistent tension when knitting.
Abbreviations
- k: knit
- p: purl
- RS: right side
- WS: wrong side
- c4f: cable 4 front
Instructions
Gray Cabled Blanket
- Cast on 80 stitches.
- Rows 1-6: k2, p2 across.
- Row 7 (RS): k2, *c4f (place 2 stitches on cable needle and hold in front, k2, k2 from cable needle), p2; repeat from * across, end k2.
- Rows 8-14: Repeat Row 7.
- Continue in this pattern until blanket measures 50 inches.
- Bind off.
Green Fringed Throw
- Cast on 100 stitches.
- Rows 1-4: Knit all stitches.
- Row 5: Knit across, adding fringe by cutting 10-inch lengths of yarn, folding in half, and pulling through stitch at end of row.
- Repeat Rows 1-5 for approximately 60 inches.
- Bind off.
- Add fringe to opposite end.
Ivory Textured Knit Piece
- Cast on 70 stitches.
- Row 1: *K3, p3; repeat from * across.
- Row 2: *P3, k3; repeat from * across.
- Repeat these two rows until piece measures 40 inches.
- Bind off.
Finishing
Weave in all ends with a tapestry needle. Block pieces if necessary. Enjoy your cozy handmade blankets!
