Materials

• Worsted weight yarn in beige, brown, red, green, blue, yellow, and various other colors for detailing
• 3.5 mm crochet hook
• Polyester fiberfill stuffing
• Black safety eyes (6 mm)
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Gauge

Gauge is not critical for this project. Ensure stitches are tight to prevent stuffing from showing.

Instructions

Wise Man (Make 3 in different colors)

Head

1. With beige yarn, create a magic circle and work 6 sc into the ring. (6 sts)
2. Rnd 2: Inc around. (12 sts)
3. Rnd 3: (Sc in next st, inc) around. (18 sts)
4. Rnd 4-8: Sc in each st around. (18 sts)
5. Rnd 9: (Sc in next st, dec) around. (12 sts)
6. Insert safety eyes between Rnds 5 and 6, about 6 sts apart, and stuff firmly.
7. Rnd 10: Dec around. (6 sts)
8. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Body

1. With main body color (red, green, or blue), ch 2.
2. Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in second ch from hook. (6 sts)
3. Rnd 2: Inc around. (12 sts)
4. Rnd 3: (Sc in next st, inc) around. (18 sts)
5. Rnd 4-9: Sc in each st around. Change to robe trim color and sc in each st for one rnd.
6. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew head to body, stuffing as you sew.

Arms

1. With body color, ch 2.
2. Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in second ch from hook. (6 sts)
3. Rnd 2-5: Sc in each st around. (6 sts)
4. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew arms to sides of the body.

Hat

1. With matching yarn, ch 2.
2. Rnd 1: 6 sc in second ch from hook. (6 sts)
3. Rnd 2: Inc around. (12 sts)
4. Rnd 3: (Sc in next st, inc) around. (18 sts)
5. Rnd 4: Sc in each st around. Fasten off.
6. Attach to the head and sew to secure.

Camel (Make 3)

Body
