Crochet Adorable Cat Keychain Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight yarn in various colors (gray, orange, black, white, and pink)
• 3.5 mm crochet hook
• Fiberfill stuffing
• 8 mm safety eyes
• Tapestry needle
• Keychain rings

Instructions:

Head

1. With main color, form a magic ring.
2. Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring. (6 sts)
3. Round 2: Inc in each st around. (12 sts)
4. Round 3: *Sc 1, inc* around. (18 sts)
5. Round 4: *Sc 2, inc* around. (24 sts)
6. Round 5-8: Sc around. (24 sts)
7. Round 9: *Sc 2, dec* around. (18 sts)
8. Insert safety eyes between rounds 4 and 5.
9. Round 10: *Sc 1, dec* around. (12 sts)
10. Stuff firmly.
11. Round 11: Dec around. (6 sts)
12. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Ears (Make 2)

1. With main color, ch 4.
2. Row 1: Starting from 2nd ch from hook, sc 3. Ch 1, turn.
3. Row 2: Sc 2, dec. (2 sts) Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Muzzle

1. With white yarn, form a magic ring.
2. Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring. (6 sts)
3. Round 2: Inc in each st around. (12 sts)
4. Slip stitch to first st, fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Assembly

1. Sew ears to the top of the head.
2. Sew muzzle slightly below eyes.
3. Embroider nose with pink yarn and mouth with black yarn.
4. Attach whiskers using black yarn.
5. Attach a keychain ring to the top of the head.

Optional Tail

1. With main color, ch 10.
2. Row 1: Sc in each ch across. Fasten off and sew to back of head.
