Crochet Adorable Baby Romper Free Pattern

Materials Needed:
- Worsted weight cotton yarn in beige, white, and yellow
- Crochet hook size H/8 (5mm)
- 2 wooden buttons (approx. 1/2 inch)
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Abbreviations:
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- hdc = half double crochet
- dc = double crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- st(s) = stitch(es)
Instructions:
Body:
- Front Panel:
With beige yarn, ch 52.
Row 1: hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. (50 hdc)
Row 2-20: ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn. - Back Panel:
Repeat as for the front panel.
Assembly:
- Align front and back panels, with wrong sides together.
Join at the bottom edge: ch 1, sc through both layers to join. - Continue joining each side from the bottom seam, leaving space at the top for armholes.
Ribbing:
- Attach yarn at leg openings, ch 1, sc evenly around, join.
Round 1-4: ch 1, sc in each st around, join. Fasten off.
Straps:
- With beige yarn, ch 35.
Row 1-5: hdc in 3rd ch from hook and each across, turn.
Fasten off.
Edging:
- Attach yarn at the top edge of the romper, sc around armholes and neck, fasten off.
Buttons:
- Sew buttons onto the front for strap closure.
Daisy Applique:
- Center:
With yellow yarn, make a magic ring.
Round 1: 10 sc in ring, join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off. - Petals (make 8):
With white yarn, ch 8, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next, dc in next 5, sl st in next. Fasten off after each petal and join around the center.
Finishing:
- Sew daisy applique onto the front panel of the romper.
- Weave in all loose ends with a tapestry needle.
