Crochet Whimsical Pastel Twinkling Moon Amigurumi Free Pattern
Materials Needed:
- Worsted weight yarn in pastel yellow, pastel blue, and white
- 4mm crochet hook
- Black safety eyes (10mm)
- Polyester fiberfill stuffing
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
- Stitch marker (optional)
Abbreviations:
- CH = Chain
- SC = Single Crochet
- INC = Increase (2 SC in the same stitch)
- DEC = Decrease (2 SC together)
- SL ST = Slip Stitch
- ST = Stitch
Instructions:
Moon Body:
- With pastel yellow yarn, create a magic circle.
- Round 1: CH 1, 6 SC in the magic circle (6)
- Round 2: INC in each stitch around (12)
- Round 3: (1 SC, INC) repeat around (18)
- Round 4: (2 SC, INC) repeat around (24)
- Round 5-10: SC in each stitch around (24)
- Round 11: (2 SC, DEC) repeat around (18)
- Round 12: (1 SC, DEC) repeat around (12)
- Stuff the moon firmly and continue to decrease:
- Round 13: DEC around (6)
- Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Moon Face:
- With white yarn, attach to the middle of the moon to create a crescent shape.
- Ch 14, turn and SC back along the chain.
- Attach to the top of the moon with a SL ST.
Eyes:
- Insert safety eyes between rows 6 and 7, about 5 stitches apart.
Smile:
- With black yarn, create a simple chain stitch mouth below the eyes.
Finishing Touches:
- Use pastel blue yarn to create little star-shaped embellishments, attaching them around the moon.
- Weave in all ends securely.
