Materials

  • Light gray yarn (body)

  • Glow-in-the-dark yarn or glow paint (eyes and spots)

  • Black embroidery thread (mouth and details)

  • inc - increase (2 sc in one stitch)
  • dec - decrease (sc two stitches together)

Head

  1. Using light gray yarn, make a magic ring.
  2. Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)
  3. Round 2: inc around (12)
  4. Round 3: (sc, inc) around (18)
  5. Round 4: (2 sc, inc) around (24)
  6. Round 5: (3 sc, inc) around (30)
  7. Round 6-10: sc around (30)
  8. Round 11: (3 sc, dec) around (24)
  9. Round 12: (2 sc, dec) around (18)
  10. Round 13: (sc, dec) around (12)
  11. Stuff the head firmly.
  12. Round 14: dec around (6)
  13. FO, weave in ends securely.

Body

  1. Round 1: With gray yarn, ch 2, 6 sc in the second ch from the hook (6)
  2. Round 2: sc around (6)
  3. Round 3: inc around (12)
  4. Round 4: (sc, inc) around (18)

Arms (Make 2)

Assembly

  1. Sew arms to the body.
  2. Sew legs to the bottom of the body.
  3. Attach head securely on top of the body.
  4. For eyes and glow spots, use glow-in-the-dark yarn or paint and embroider or sew them onto your zombie.
  5. Use dark brown yarn for hair. To create a tattered look, cut strands and attach at the top of the head, styling as desired.
  6. Use dark brown yarn for the shirt and blue for pants, adding tattered details as shown in the image.

Finishing Touches

  1. Embroider the mouth and any facial details with black embroidery thread.
