Instructions:

Base:

1. Start with a magic ring. Ch 2 (this counts as your first dc).
2. In the magic ring, dc 9 times. Pull the magic ring tight. (10 dc total)
3. Round 2: *2 dc in each st* around. (20 dc total)
4. Round 3: *1 dc, 2 dc in next st* around. (30 dc total)
5. Round 4: *2 dc, 2 dc in next st* around. (40 dc total)
6. Continue to increase every round until you reach approximately 60 dc (adjust according to desired size).

Body:

1. Without increasing, sc in each st around for 5 rounds.
2. Change to a textured stitch (e.g., shell stitch or puff stitch) for the next 5 rounds.

Top:

1. Switch back to sc and start decreasing: *sc 4, sc2tog* around.
2. Continue decreasing until you reach the top, closing the opening as you go.

Pom Poms:
