Crochet Simple Textured Shamrock Appliqué Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Green worsted weight yarn
• Crochet hook size H/5mm
• Scissors
• Yarn needle

Stitches Used:

• Ch - Chain
• Sl st - Slip stitch
• Sc - Single crochet
• Hdc - Half double crochet
• Dc - Double crochet
• Tr - Treble crochet

Instructions:

Leaf (Make 3 per shamrock):

1. Start with a magic ring, ch 1.
2. Work 1 sc, 1 hdc, 3 dc, 1 tr, 3 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc into the ring.
3. Pull the ring tight and join with a sl st to the first sc. Fasten off and weave in the ends.

Stem:

1. Ch 9.
2. Sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc in each of the next 3 ch, hdc in the next ch, dc in the last 3 ch.
3. Fasten off leaving a tail to sew the stem and leaves together.

Assembly:

1. Arrange the three leaves into a shamrock shape, with points meeting in the center.
2. Use the tail end from the stem to sew it to the base of the leaves.

Weave in all loose ends.
