Elegant Textured Triangular Wrap with Twisted Fringe
Materials Needed:
- Worsted weight yarn (approx. 600 yards)
- 6.0 mm (J) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Measuring tape
Gauge:
12 dc x 7 rows = 4 inches in double crochet
Instructions:
- Foundation Chain: Chain 5.
- Row 1: In the 4th chain from the hook, make 2 double crochets (this counts as the first shell). Chain 1, then 3 double crochets in the same chain. Turn.
- Row 2: Chain 3 (counts as first dc), 2 dc in the first chain space, chain 1, make 3 dc in the next chain space. Chain 1. Turn.
- Row 3: Repeat Row 2 until you have 10 shells worked across.
- Row 4: For the body, begin working into the top of the shells. Chain 3 (counts as first dc), work 1 dc in each dc, chain 1 between shells across the row. Turn.
- Rows 5-30: Continue to repeat Row 4 until the wrap reaches your desired length, ensuring to adjust spacing as your edges grow outward to maintain a triangular shape.
- Finishing: Work an edge: Single crochet around the entire wrap to create a clean finish. Cut yarn and weave in all ends.
- Twisted Fringe: Cut 48 strands of yarn, each about 12 inches long. Attach 4 strands to each corner edge with a lark's head knot. Braid the strands together, tie off, and trim to equal lengths.
Care Instructions:
Hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry.
