Materials:
- DK weight gradient yarn, approximately 400 yards.
- Crochet hook size G/6 (4.0 mm).
- Yarn needle for weaving in ends.
- Scissors.
Gauge:
4” x 4” = 16 stitches x 10 rows in lace pattern, blocked.
Finished Size:
Approx. 8” wide x 70” long, blocked.

Pattern:
Foundation:
Ch 52 loosely.
Row 1:
Dc in 4th ch from hook (counts as first dc), *ch 3, sk next 3 chs, sc in next ch, ch 3, sk next 3 chs, 3 dc in next ch; repeat from * across, ending with dc in the last ch. Turn.
Row 2:
Ch 3 (counts as dc), *ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 3, 3 dc in next sc; repeat from * across, ending with dc in the last st. Turn.
Row 3:
Ch 1, sc in first dc, *3 dc in next sc, ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 3; repeat from * across, ending with sc in top of turning ch. Turn.
Repeat Rows:
Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until scarf measures approximately 35” long from the starting edge, ending with Row 3.
Joining the Second Half:
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for joining. Return to the foundation chain and join yarn to the opposite side. Work pattern as above for the second half until both halves are equal in length.
Finishing:
