Instructions

Base Circle

Note: Each protector consists of a large circle base with a scalloped edge. The pattern is written for one protector; adjust colors to create a set.

1. Start with a magic ring.
2. Round 1: ch 1, 6 sc into ring, sl st to first sc. (6)
3. Round 2: ch 1, inc in each st around, sl st to first sc. (12)
4. Round 3: ch 1, (sc in next st, inc in next st) around, sl st to first sc. (18)
5. Round 4: ch 1, (sc in next 2 sts, inc in next st) around, sl st to first sc. (24)
6. Continue increasing in this pattern, adding one more sc between each inc in every round, until the circle measures approximately 10 inches in diameter or your desired size.

Scalloped Edge

1. Switch to contrast color for the scalloped edge.
2. Round 1: ch 1, (sc in next 3 sts, skip 1, 5 dc in next st, skip 1) repeat around, sl st to first sc.

Loop for Hanging

1. Choose a position for the loop at the edge.
2. ch 10, join with a sl st to the same st where you began the ch, fasten off and weave in ends.

Finishing

Fasten off and weave in all ends securely.
