Crochet Elegant Lacy Petal Doily Coaster Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• 4-ply Cotton Yarn (2 colors, your choice)
• 4 mm Crochet Hook
• Scissors

Abbreviations:

• ch - chain
• sc - single crochet
• dc - double crochet
• tr - treble crochet
• sl st - slip stitch

Pattern Instructions:

Center Circle: (Color A)

1. Make a magic ring.
2. Round 1: 12 sc into the ring. Pull the ring tight and join with sl st to the first sc.
3. Round 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in same stitch, *2 dc in next stitch; repeat from * around. Join with sl st to top of ch 3 (24 dc).

Petal Rows: (Color B)

1. Round 3: Ch 1, *[1 sc, 2 dc, 1 tr, 2 dc, 1 sc] in the next stitch (this forms one petal); repeat from * around the circle. Ensure to end with sl st to the first sc (6 petals).
2. Round 4: Ch 1, in each petal from previous round, work 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, joining each petal. Finish with a sl st to the first sc (6 complete petals).

Lace Border: (Back to Color A)

1. Round 5: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), *[1 sc in the first gap, ch 3] repeat around. Join with sl st to the top of ch 3.
2. Round 6: Sl st into the first ch 3 space, ch 3 (counts as first dc), 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in the same space (forming a fan). In each ch 3 space, repeat the fan stitches. End with a sl st to the top of first ch 3 to close the round.

Finishing:

1. Fasten off and weave in all ends using a yarn needle.
