Base

4. Row 3: Ch 3, *bpdc in next 2 sts, fpdc in next 2 sts; rep from * across, end with bpdc in last st. Turn.

6. Rep Rows 2-4 until shawl measures 24 inches wide.

Pockets (Make 2)

1. Ch 30.
2. Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn.
3. Rep Rows 2-4 of Shawl instructions for a total of 20 inches.

Finishing

1. Position pockets on each end of the shawl, approximately 5 inches from the edge and sew in place using a whip stitch.
2. Weave in all ends securely.
