Cheerful Twisted Gourd Amigurumi Pattern
Materials: - Worsted weight yarn in three colors (e.g., green, orange, brown) - 4 mm crochet hook - Fiberfill stuffing - Yarn needle - Scissors - Stitch marker (optional)
Abbreviations:
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- inc = increase (2 sc in same stitch)
- dec = decrease (single crochet 2 stitches together)
- sl st = slip stitch
- st(s) = stitch(es)
Gourd Body (Make 1)
- With Color 1, make a magic ring.
- Round 1: 6 sc in ring (6)
- Round 2: inc in each st around (12)
- Round 3: *sc in next st, inc* repeat around (18)
- Round 4-7: sc in each st around (18)
- Round 8: *sc in next st, dec* repeat around (12)
- Stuff the gourd lightly with fiberfill.
- Round 9: *dec* repeat around (6)
- Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Gourd Stem (Make 1)
- With Color 2, ch 6.
- Row 1: Starting from the second ch from hook, sc in next 5 (5)
- Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across (5)
- Row 3: Ch 1, turn, dec, sc in next 3, dec (3)
- Row 4: Ch 1, turn, dec, sc in last st (2)
