Crochet Charming Textured Heart Coaster Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight cotton yarn in a pink shade
• Crochet hook size H/5.0mm
• Yarn needle
• Scissors

Finished Size:

Approximately 6 inches wide and 5 inches tall.

Abbreviations:

• ch: chain
• sc: single crochet
• st(s): stitch(es)
• inc: increase (2 sc in same st)

Instructions:

Heart Pattern:

1. Start with the bottom tip of the heart: Ch 2, 2 sc in the second ch from hook. (2 sts)
2. Row 1: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in each st across. (4 sts)
3. Row 2: Ch 1, turn, *sc in next st, inc* repeat across. (6 sts)
4. Row 3: Ch 1, turn, *sc in next 2 sts, inc* repeat across. (8 sts)
5. Row 4: Ch 1, turn, *sc in next 3 sts, inc* repeat across. (10 sts)
6. Row 5: Ch 1, turn, *sc in next 4 sts, inc* repeat across. (12 sts)
7. Row 6: Ch 1, turn, *sc in next 5 sts, inc* repeat across. (14 sts)
8. Fasten off and reattach yarn 3 sts in from either end to begin first hump of heart.
9. First Hump - Row 1: Ch 1, sc in next 7 sts. (7 sts)
10. Row 2: Ch 1, turn, dec, sc in next 3 sts, dec (5 sts)
11. Row 3: Ch 1, turn, dec, sc in next st, dec (3 sts)
12. Row 4: Ch 1, turn, dec, sc in last st (2 sts)
13. Fasten off. Weave in the end.
14. Repeat for the other side of the heart starting at reattached yarn. Follow same steps for second hump.

Finishing:

Use the yarn needle to weave in any remaining ends. Wet block if necessary to shape the heart evenly.
