- Using yellow yarn, make a magic ring.
- Chain 1, then work 6 sc into the ring.
- Join with sl st to the first sc. (You should have 6 stitches.)
- Round 2: Chain 1, then work 2 sc in each stitch around. Join with sl st. (12 stitches)
- Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

- Using green yarn, chain 10.
- Single crochet (sc) in the 2nd chain from the hook and in each chain across. (You should have 9 stitches.)
