Frosted Heart Snowflake Free Pattern

[You have now formed one small heart motif.] Now continue around the ring: *ch 3, skip 1 st, sc in the next st, ch 3, skip 1 st, sc in the next st; rep from * around, join with a sl st to the base of the beginning ch-3. (Heart motif plus a ring of ch-3 loops around the remaining stitches.) Fasten off if you prefer to change color; otherwise continue with the same thread.

Point Rounds

Round 3 (first point round): Sl st into the next ch-2 sp. Ch 1, sc in the same sp, *ch 5, sc in the next ch-3 sp; rep from * around, ending with ch 5, join with a sl st to the first sc. (You should have a series of ch-5 loops all the way around the heart.)

Round 4 (snowflake points): Sl st into the first ch-5 loop. Ch 1, then work [sc, ch 3, dc, ch 3, tr, ch 5, tr, ch 3, dc, ch 3, sc]
