Daisy Granny Square Crochet Pattern

Materials:

• Worsted weight yarn in four colors: pink, yellow, white, and aqua
• 5.0 mm (H/8) crochet hook
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
• Scissors

Finished Size:

Each square is approximately 4 inches x 4 inches.

Abbreviations:

• Ch - Chain
• Sl st - Slip stitch
• Sc - Single crochet
• Hdc - Half double crochet
• Dc - Double crochet
• St - Stitch
• Sp - Space

Instructions:

1. Center Circle:
   With yellow yarn, create a slip knot and ch 4. Sl st into the first ch to form a ring.
2. Round 1: Ch 1, work 12 sc into the ring. Join with a sl st to the first sc. Fasten off yellow.
3. Petals:
   Join white yarn in any sc.
   Ch 2 (counts as first hdc), hdc in the same st, ch 1. *2 hdc in next st, ch 1; repeat from * around. Join with sl st to top of beginning ch-2. Fasten off white.
4. Square Base:
   Join aqua yarn in any ch-1 sp.
   Round 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 2 dc in same sp, ch 1, 3 dc in the same sp (corner made).
   *Skip next hdc pair, 3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, skip next hdc pair, 3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, 3 dc in same ch-1 sp (corner).
   Repeat from * 2 more times. Join with sl st to the top of the beginning ch-3.
5. Round 3: Sl st into the next 2 dc and into the next ch-1 sp (corner).
   Ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, ch 1, 3 dc in same sp.
   *3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1.*
   Repeat * across to next corner sp.**
   Repeat from ** 2 more times.
   Join with sl st to the top of the beginning ch-3. Fasten off and weave in all ends.
