Woodland Fox Earflap Hat
Materials
- Medium weight yarn in orange, cream, and black
- Size H (5 mm) crochet hook

Hat
1. Start with the orange yarn. Create a magic ring and ch 2. 2. Round 1: 10 dc into the ring. Join with a sl st. 3. Round 2: Ch 2, 2 dc in each st around (20 sts). Join. 4. Round 3: Ch 2, (dc in the next st, 2 dc in the following st) repeat around (30 sts). Join. 5. Round 4-8: Ch 2, dc in each st around. Join. 6. Round 9: Ch 1, sc in each st around, switch to cream yarn. Join. 7. Rounds 10-11: Ch 1, sc in each st around. Join. 8. Round 12: Ch 1, (sc, ch 1) in each st around for a total of 30 stitches. 9. For earflaps, attach yarn at the corners of the hat and work: Ch 1, sc in the next 10 sts, ch 1, turn, sc back across. Repeat for a second earflap. 10. Begin shaping the ears: Ch 1, sc in the next 5, ch 1, turn. Repeat till you have a tiny triangle. 11. Finish off, weave in ends.Boots
