Instructions

Top Edge

1. Round 1: Ch 160 (or the circumference of the top of your lampshade), join with sl st to form a ring, ch 1, sc in each ch around, join with sl st.
2. Round 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in each sc around, join with sl st.

Body

3. Round 3: Ch 5 (counts as 1 dc and ch 2), skip next 2 sts, [dc in next st, ch 2, skip 2 sts] around, join with sl st to 3rd ch of beginning ch 5.
4. Round 4: Sl st into first ch-2 sp, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, [ch 2, 3 dc in next ch-2 sp] around, join with sl st to top of beginning ch 3.
5. Round 5: Ch 5, skip next 2 dc, [dc in next dc, ch 2, skip 2 dc] around, join with sl st to 3rd ch of beginning ch 5.
6. Repeat Rounds 4 and 5 until lampshade is covered.

Scalloped Edge

6. Round 1: Ch 1, sc in first dc, [7 dc in next ch-2 sp, sc in next dc] around, join with sl st.

Beaded Edging

7. Attach beads using a sewing needle to each scallop at your desired length.

Finishing

8. Fasten off, weave in ends.
