Materials:

• Worsted weight yarn in five colors (coral, peach, cream, olive, teal, and pink)
• 5.0 mm (H) crochet hook
• 16 x 16 inch pillow insert
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Abbreviations:

• ch = chain
• sl st = slip stitch
• sc = single crochet
• dc = double crochet
• sp = space
• st = stitch

Instructions:

Center Square:

1. Round 1: With coral yarn, ch 4, sl st to form a ring. Ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc in ring, ch 2, *(3 dc in ring, ch 2)* 3 times, sl st to top of beginning ch-3. Fasten off.
2. Round 2: Join peach yarn in any ch-2 corner sp. Ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, ch 2, 3 dc in same sp, *(3 dc in next ch-2 sp, ch 2, 3 dc in same sp)* around, sl st to top of beginning ch-3. Fasten off.

Expand the Granny Square:

3. Round 3: Join cream yarn in any corner sp. Ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, ch 2, 3 dc in same sp, *(3 dc in next sp between 3-dc groups, 3 dc in next corner sp, ch 2, 3 dc in same sp)* around, sl st to top of beginning ch-3. Fasten off.
4. Round 4: With olive yarn, repeat Round 3 pattern, working 3 dc in each sp between groups. Fasten off.
