Crochet Whimsical Wavy Petal Coaster Pattern

Materials Needed:

• 8 Ply Yarn (two contrasting colors)
• 4mm Crochet Hook
• Scissors
• Tapestry Needle for weaving in ends

Abbreviations Used:

• ch - chain
• sc - single crochet
• dc - double crochet
• sl st - slip stitch
• st - stitch

Instructions:

Center Circle

1. With Color A, make a magic ring.
2. Round 1: Ch 1, 6 sc in the ring. Pull tight to close. (6)
3. Round 2: Ch 2 (counts as first dc), dc in same stitch, 2 dc in each st around. Join with sl st to top of ch 2. (12)

Petal Section

1. Round 3: Change to Color B. Ch 6, join with sl st to the center to create a loop.
2. Repeat the following in each stitch around: Ch 6, sl st to the center.
3. After 12 petals, join with a sl st to the first petal and fasten off.

Finishing Touches

1. Weave in any loose ends using a tapestry needle.
2. Block your coasters gently to smooth them out, if desired.
