- ch = chain

Instructions:
Part 1: Duck Head
- With beige yarn, make a magic ring.
- Round 1: 6 sc into the ring (6 sts).
- Round 2: inc in each st around (12 sts).
- Round 3: *sc in next st, inc in next st* repeat around (18 sts).
- Round 4: *sc in next 2 sts, inc in next st* repeat around (24 sts).
- Rounds 5-10: sc in each st around (24 sts).
- Round 11: *sc in next 2 sts, dec* repeat around (18 sts).
- Round 12: *sc in next st, dec* repeat around (12 sts). Insert safety eyes before closing.
- Round 13: dec around (6 sts). Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
- Using your yarn needle, sew closed and weave in ends.
Part 2: Duck Beak
- With orange yarn, make a magic ring.
- Round 1: 4 sc into the ring (4 sts).
- Round 2: inc in each st around (8 sts).
- Round 3: *sc in next st, inc in next st* repeat around (12 sts).
- Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing. Sew the beak to the front of the head.
Part 3: Hat Brim
- With blue yarn, ch 30.
- Row 1: dc in 4th ch from hook and dc across (28 sts).
- Row 2: ch 2, turn, dc in each dc across.
- Repeat Row 2 until brim measures approximately 12 inches long.
- Fasten off and sew the ends together to form a circle.
Part 4: Assembly
- Sew the duck head to the center of the hat brim.
