Abbreviations:
- ch - chain
- sc - single crochet
- dc - double crochet
- sl st - slip stitch
- RS - right side
- WS - wrong side
Coaster Pattern:
Base Round:
1. Start with a magic ring. Ch 3 (counts as first dc). Into the ring, work 11 dc. Join with a sl st to the top of the ch 3. (Total: 12 dc)
Round 2:
2. Ch 1. Work 2 sc in each dc around. Join with sl st. (Total: 24 sc)
Round 3:
3. Ch 1. *(1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc)* repeat around. Join with sl st. (Total: 36 sc)
Spiral Design:
4. Ch 4 (counts as dc + ch 1). *Skip 1 sc, dc in the next sc, ch 1* repeat around. Join with sl st. (Total: 36 dc + ch 1 spaces)
Twisting the Spiral:
5. In each ch 1 space from the previous round, work the following: (1 sc, 3 dc) in the space to create a twist. Sl st into the next ch 1 space and repeat until complete. Join with sl st.
Finishing:
