Crochet Textured Floral Cushion Free Pattern

Materials:

• Worsted weight yarn in four colors (A, B, C, D)
• Crochet hook size H/8 (5.0 mm)
• Tapestry needle
• 16-inch cushion insert

Abbreviations:

• ch: chain
• sc: single crochet
• dc: double crochet
• sl st: slip stitch
• tr: treble crochet
• st(s): stitch(es)

Instructions:

Center Flower:

1. With color A, make a magic ring.
   • Round 1: Ch 1, 10 sc in ring, sl st to first sc to join. (10 sts)
2. Round 2: Join color B, ch 3 (counts as dc), 1 dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around, sl st to top of ch-3. (20 sts)
3. Round 3: Join color C, (ch 2, 2 tr in next st, ch 2, sl st in next st) around, fasten off. (10 petals)

Petal Border:

1. Join color D in any sl st between petals.
   • Round 4: Ch 1, *3 dc in next ch-2 space, sc in sl st between petals* repeat around, sl st to first ch-1.

Leaf Squares:

1. Join color D in any dc group.
   • Round 5: Ch 3, 2 dc in same st, ch 2, 3 dc in same st, *3 dc in next space, ch 2, 3 dc in same space* around, sl st to top of ch-3.
   • Round 6: Ch 1, sc in each dc and 2 sc in each ch-2 space around, sl st to first sc.

Assembly:

1. Join squares with sc, placing leaf square motifs at corners.
2. Sc around entire outer edge to join front piece to a crocheted backing or fabric cushion cover using color A.
