Crochet Whimsical Floral Lace Coaster Free Pattern
Materials Needed:
- 100% cotton yarn (worsted weight) in your choice of color
- 4.0 mm (G) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Abbreviations:
- ch – chain
- sc – single crochet
- dc – double crochet
- sl st – slip stitch
- tr – treble crochet
Instructions:
Round 1:
Start with a magic ring or ch 4 and join to form a ring. In the ring, ch 2 (counts as first dc), then work 11 dc into the ring. Join with a sl st to the top of the starting ch 2. (12 dc total)
Round 2:
Ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), *dc in next st, ch 1; repeat from * around. Join with a sl st to the top of the starting ch 3. (12 ch-1 spaces)
Round 3:
In each ch-1 space, work (dc, ch 2, dc) to create a cluster. Join with a sl st to the top of the first cluster.
Round 4:
Ch 1, *sc in the dc of the last round, ch 5, skip the next cluster, sc in the next dc; repeat from * around. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (12 ch-5 spaces)
Round 5:
In each ch-5 space, work (tr, ch 3, tr) for a petal. Join with a sl st to the first tr.
Round 6:
Ch 1, sc in each st around. Join with a sl st to the first sc.
Finishing:
Fasten off and weave in any loose ends.
