Crochet Whimsical Chenille Buttoned Baby Booties Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Soft chenille yarn in your choice of color (3-4 oz)
• Crochet hook (size 4.0 mm or as needed for gauge)
• Buttons (2 for each bootie)

• Tapestry needle for weaving ends

Gauge:

12 double crochets = 4 inches

Sizes:

This pattern is sized for 3-6 month old babies. You can easily adjust this pattern for larger sizes by adding extra rounds to the sole.

Bootie Sole:

1. Chain 10, join to form a ring.
2. Round 1: Chain 2 (counts as first double crochet), 2 double crochet in each chain around (20 stitches). Join with a slip stitch.
3. Round 2: Chain 2, *1 double crochet in the next stitch, 2 double crochet in the following stitch; repeat from * around (30 stitches). Join.
4. Round 3: Chain 2, double crochet in each stitch around (30 stitches). Join.
5. Round 4-5: Repeat Round 3.

Bootie Body:

1. Change to the body color yarn.
2. Round 6: Chain 1, single crochet in each stitch around (30 stitches). Join.
