Crochet Whimsical Autumn Harvest Wreath Decor

Materials Needed:
- Worsted weight yarn in various fall colors (pumpkin orange, earthy brown, creamy white, and olive green)
- Size G (4.0 mm) crochet hook
- Grapevine wreath form (12-14 inches)
- Floral wire
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
Stitches Used:
- Chain (ch)
- Slip stitch (sl st)
- Single crochet (sc)
- Double crochet (dc)
- Half double crochet (hdc)
Instructions:
Pumpkins:
Small Pumpkin:
1. Start with a magic ring and ch 2. 2. Round 1: 10 dc in the ring. Join with sl st to the top of the first dc. 3. Round 2: Ch 1, (2 dc in each dc around) – 20 dc. Join. 4. Round 3: Ch 1, (1 dc, 2 dc in next dc) repeat around – 30 dc. Join. 5. Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Use the tail to gather the bottom of the pumpkin and close it up. 6. Attach a short stem using brown yarn; sew it into the top of the pumpkin.
Large Pumpkin:
1. Start with a magic ring and ch 2. 2. Round 1: 12 dc in the ring. Join. 3. Round 2: Ch 1, (2 dc in each dc around) – 24 dc. Join. 4. Round 3: Ch 1, (1 dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc) repeat around – 36 dc. Join. 5. Complete as the small pumpkin, but create a longer stem.
Leaves:
1. Start with a slip knot and ch 12. 2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across – 11 sc. Turn. 3. Row 2: Ch 1, hdc in first sc, dc in next 3, ch 2, skip 2, dc in next 3, hdc in last. Turn. 4. Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first 2, hdc in next 4, sc in last 2. Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
Assembly:
1. Using floral wire, attach the leaves around the wreath base. 2. Position the pumpkins at various points around the wreath and secure them in place with hot glue. 3. Add additional leaves and small decorative items (like acorns or pinecones) to fill gaps as desired.
