Crochet Textured Striped Coaster Set

Materials:

• DK weight cotton yarn in 4 colors (e.g. cream, peach, mustard, olive)
• 4 mm crochet hook
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Gauge: 18 stitches and 22 rows = 4" in double crochet (DC)

Finished Size: Each coaster is approximately 4.5" square.

Abbreviations (US terms):

• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• dc = double crochet
• sl st = slip stitch
• st = stitch

Instructions:

1. Coaster Base:
   With Color 1, ch 19.
   Row 1: In the 2nd ch from hook, dc in each ch across (18 dc).
   Row 2: Ch 1, turn. (sc, dc) across all st (18 total).
   Repeat Row 2 with Color 2 for 2 rows, Color 3 for 2 rows, and Color 4 for the final 2 rows.
   End with Color 1 and sl st across the top to finish. Cut yarn and weave in all ends.
2. Edging:
   With Color 1, join with a sl st in any corner.
   Ch 1, sc in each st and 3 sc in each corner to create a neat edge.
   Sl st to the first sc to finish. Cut yarn and weave in ends.
3. Repeat for a total of 4 coasters.

Care Instructions: Machine wash gentle and lay flat to dry.
