  • Size G (4.0 mm) crochet hook
  • Stuffing (optional for a more 3D look)

Gauge:

Abbreviations:

  • ch - chain
  • sc - single crochet
  • dc - double crochet
  • sl st - slip stitch
  • st(s) - stitch(es)

Instructions:

Base of the Cozy:

  1. Start with the orange yarn. Chain 30.
  2. Row 1: In the 2nd chain from the hook, sc across (total 29 sc). Turn.
  3. Row 2-10: Ch 1, sc in each st across. Turn. (Repeat until you reach 10 rows)
  4. Align the short edges and slip stitch them together to form a tube.

Top Rim:

  1. Switch to green yarn. Attach it to the top edge of the cozy with a sl st.
  2. Round 1: Ch 1, sc around (make sure to place 2 sc in each corner). Join with sl st.
  3. Round 2: Ch 1, *sc in next 3, 2 sc in next* around (repeat from * to *). Join with sl st.

Face Details:

  1. Using the black yarn, create small eyes and a jagged mouth by making surface slip stitches where desired.
  2. For the stem, chain 10 with the green yarn, sc back along the chain, and attach it to the top of the cozy.

Finishing:

Weave in all ends and ensure everything is securely attached. Optional: Add stuffing at the top for added dimension.
