Instructions

Back Panel

1. Ch 92 (or desired width; for larger sizes, add 4 stitches for each increase).
2. Row 1: Dc in the 4th ch from hook and in each ch across (90 total). Turn.
3. Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in each st across. Turn.
4. Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first st, *tr in next st, sc in next st; repeat from * across. Turn.
5. Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until piece measures 26 (28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42) inches high.
6. Fasten off.

Front Panels (make 2)

1. Ch 92 (or as desired; same as back panel).
2. Row 1-3: Repeat the same as back panel.
3. Continue until panel measures 22 (24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38) inches high.
4. For neck shaping, leave 25 (25, 30, 30, 35, 35, 40, 40, 45) stitches unworked at the center for 4 rows, then fasten off.

Sleeves (make 2)

1. Ch 60.
2. Row 1: Dc in the 4th ch from hook and across.
3. Row 2: Repeat standard dc rows until it measures 20 (20, 22, 22, 24) inches.
4. Decrease at the beginning of each row for the last 5 rows to create a tapered sleeve.

Assembly

1. Join the shoulder seams between the front and back panels using sl st.
2. Attach the sleeves to the armholes, ensuring they fit snugly.
3. Join side seams, leaving pocket openings as desired.
4. Create pockets by folding small squares of fabric and sewing them to the inside of the cardigan.
5. Finish with a border of sc around the entire cardigan for a polished look.
