- DK weight yarn (approx. 200g)
- 4mm (G-6) crochet hook

Pattern Instructions
Body
1. Begin with a foundation chain of 50 (or desired width for size).
2. Row 1: In the 4th ch from hook, make 1 dc, then (ch 1, skip 1 ch, dc in next ch) across. End with 1 dc in the last ch. Turn.
3. Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), dc in the ch-1 space, (ch 1, skip next dc, dc in next ch-1 space) across. End with 1 dc in the top of the turning ch. Turn.
4. Repeat Row 2 until the length reaches approximately 40 cm or desired length. Fasten off.
1. With a 20 cm by 15 cm base chain, repeat the body rows but do not fasten off.
2. After 5 rows, fasten off.
Assembly
1. Fold the pocket in half and sew the sides closed. Leave the top open.
2. Attach the pocket to the front of the poncho in the center. Use slip stitch or whip stitch to secure.
Edging
1. With RS facing, join yarn to the bottom edge of the poncho, ch 1, sc around the entire poncho, working 3 sc in each corner.
2. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Customization
You can easily adjust the size by increasing or decreasing the foundation chain in increments of 2. Experiment with different yarn colors or textures for a unique finish!
