Crochet Simple Textured Phone Sleeve Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight cotton yarn in beige.
• Crochet hook size H/5.0 mm.
• 1 wooden button (approximately 1/2 inch in diameter).
• Tapestry needle.
• Scissors.

Abbreviations:

• ch – chain
• sc – single crochet
• st(s) – stitch(es)
• sl st – slip stitch

Instructions:

Body of the Sleeve:

1. Ch 16 (adjust the chain length if your phone is larger or smaller).
2. Row 1: Sc in the second ch from the hook and in each ch across. Turn. (15 sts)
3. Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across. Turn. (15 sts)
4. Repeat Row 2 until the piece measures 12 inches or the length needed to wrap your phone.

Forming the Sleeve:

5. Fold the piece in half with the right side facing out.
6. Using the crochet hook, join the yarn at the side and sc through both layers down the side, across the bottom, and up the other side.
7. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Flap and Button Loop:

8. On the open end of the sleeve, find the center stitch.
9. Attach yarn to the center and ch 1, sc in the same st and continue to sc evenly across 5 sts. Turn.
10. Ch 1, sc in each st across. Turn. Repeat for 6 rows to make the flap.
11. To make the button loop, ch 8, sl st in the starting st of the ch. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Attaching the Button:

13. Position the button on the body of the sleeve so that the loop can easily secure around it when the flap is folded over.
14. Sew the button in place.
