Materials
- 100g of worsted weight cotton yarn in cream
- Size G (4.0 mm) crochet hook
- 1 large button (about 1 inch in diameter)
- Yarn needle for weaving in ends
- Scissors
Gauge
16 stitches and 18 rows = 4 inches in single crochet

Instructions
Base of the Bag:
1. Begin by making a magic ring (or ch 4 and join to form a ring).
2. Round 1: Ch 1, 6 sc into the magic ring. Join with a sl st to the first sc (6 stitches).
3. Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around. Join (12 stitches).
4. Round 3: Ch 1, *1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st*; rep from * around. Join (18 stitches).
5. Round 4: Ch 1, *1 sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st*; rep from * around. Join (24 stitches).
6. Round 5: Ch 1, *1 sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st*; rep from * around. Join (30 stitches).
7. Round 6: Ch 1, *1 sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st*; rep from * around. Join (36 stitches).
8. Round 7-12: Ch 1, sc in each st around. Join. (36 stitches).
Body of the Bag:
9. Continue without increasing: Round 13-20: Ch 1, sc in each st around. Join. (36 stitches).
10. Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing the button.
Strap:
11. Ch 100 (or desired length for the strap).
12. Sl st in each ch back to the beginning. Join. Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Finishing:
13. Sew the button on the front of the bag. Ensure it aligns with the hole you create through the fabric.
14. Attach the strap to each side of the bag using the long tail you left. Secure tightly.
15. Weave in all the ends using the yarn needle.
