Festive Whimsical Snowflake Coaster Pattern
Materials:
- Worsted weight cotton yarn in white
- Light blue yarn (optional for embellishments)
- Size G (4.0 mm) crochet hook
- Scissors

Abbreviations:
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- dc = double crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- tr = treble crochet
Instructions:
Round 1:
Start with a magic ring. Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 11 dc into the magic ring. Pull the ring tight and join with a sl st to the top of the first dc. (12 dc)
Round 2:
Ch 3, *1 dc in next stitch, ch 2, 1 dc in same stitch; repeat from * around. Join with a sl st to the top of the first dc. (12 petals)
Round 3:
Sl st to the first ch-2 space. Ch 1, 3 sc in this space, ch 2, 3 sc in the same space, sl st to the next ch-2 space. Repeat for all ch-2 spaces around. Finish by joining with a sl st to the first sc.
Round 4:
Sl st to the first 3 sc from the previous round. Ch 1, 1 sc in the same stitch, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 tr, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc in the same stitch. Sl st into the next 3 sc and repeat around. Finish off and weave in the ends.
Optional Embellishments:
For added flair, use light blue yarn to make small slip stitch borders around the outside edges or add beads in the center of the snowflakes for a sparkling effect!
Finishing:
