Materials Needed:

• Scissors
• Tapestry needle

Gauge:

4" x 4" = 12 stitches in double crochet.

Pattern:

Base:

1. Chain 32.
2. Row 1: Double crochet in the 4th chain from the hook and in each chain across (30 dc). Turn.
3. Row 2: Chain 3, skip first dc, *double crochet in next dc, chain 1, skip next dc; repeat from * across. Turn.
4. Row 3: Chain 3, double crochet in first chain-1 space, *chain 1, double crochet in next chain-1 space; repeat from * across. Turn.
5. Repeat Rows 2-3 until the base reaches a height of 6 inches. Fasten off.

Floral Motif (Make 3):

1. Start with a magic circle, chain 3, and work 11 double crochets into the circle. Pull the circle tight to close. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the first dc.
