Materials

• Worsted weight cotton yarn (approx. 200 yards)
• 4.0 mm (G) crochet hook
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle

Gauge

Each motif should measure about 4 inches in diameter.

Abbreviations

• ch - chain
• dc - double crochet
• sc - single crochet
• sl st - slip stitch
• st(s) - stitch(es)

Instructions

Center Circle

1. Start with a magic ring.
2. Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 11 dc in ring. Join with sl st to top of ch-3. (12 dc)
3. Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around. Join with sl st. (24 dc)

Sunburst Motif

1. Round 3: Ch 5 (counts as first dc and ch-2), *dc, ch 2 in next st; repeat from * around. Join with sl st in 3rd ch of ch-5. (12 sets of dc, ch-2)
2. Round 4: Sl st to next ch-2 space, ch 3, 2 dc in same space, ch 2, *3 dc in next ch-2 space, ch 2; repeat from * around. Join with sl st to top of ch-3. (12 shells)
3. Round 5: Sl st to next ch-2 space, ch 1, sc in same space, *ch 5, skip 3 dc, sc in next ch-2 space; repeat from * around. Join with sl st. (12 spaces)

Finish

1. Fasten off and weave in ends.
2. Block doily for best shape.
