  • 4 mm (US G-6) crochet hook
  • Medium weight yarn (4), 100% acrylic (approx. 150m/164yd per skein) - 8 (9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16) skeins
  • Tapestry needle for weaving ends

Gauge: 12 stitches and 15 rows in 4" using textured stitch pattern.

Stitches Used:

  • Chain (ch)
  • Slip stitch (sl st)
  • Double crochet (dc)
  • Front post double crochet (fpdc)
  • Back post double crochet (bpdc)

Instructions:

Body Panels:

1. Back Panel: Chain 82 (90, 98, 106, 114, 122, 130, 138, 146) and dc in the 4th chain from the hook. DC across, turn. 2. Continue in rows of textured stitch (using fpdc and bpdc alternately) until the panel's length is 23 (24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31) inches. 3. Repeat for Front Panel but adjust for neck opening by leaving the central 20 stitches unworked for 5 rows.

Sleeves:

4. Chain 30 (32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46) and dc in the 4th chain. Work in textured stitch for 18 (18, 19, 19, 20, 20, 21, 21, 22) inches, decreasing 1 stitch at the beginning and end of the last row to create a fitted cuff.

Assembly:

5. Sew the shoulder seams of the back and front panels together. Attach sleeves to the armholes. 6. Sew side seams, ensuring to adjust width for a looser body fit. 7. For the neckline, crochet a dc round with 4 mm hook for a clean finish.

Finishing:

8. Weave in all ends, and block if desired for an enhanced texture.
