Crochet Charming Gingerbread Man Pillow Free Pattern

Materials:

• Worsted weight acrylic yarn in brown, white, pink, and black
• 6.00mm/J crochet hook
• 14" x 14" pillow form
• Yarn needle
• Scissors
• Stitch marker

Abbreviations:

• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• sl st = slip stitch
• st = stitch
• inc = 2 sc in same st
• dec = single crochet two stitches together

Instructions:

Front and Back Panels (Make 2):

1. Head and Body:
   • Using brown yarn, ch 4 and join with a sl st to form a ring.
   • Rnd 1: Ch 1, 8 sc in ring. Join with sl st to first sc. (8 sts)
   • Rnd 2: Ch 1, inc in each st around. Join. (16 sts)
   • Rnd 3: Ch 1, (sc in next st, inc in next st) around. Join. (24 sts)
   • Continue in this pattern, increasing 8 sts every round, until you reach 60 sts.
2. Arms & Legs:
   • Continue sc around for 5 rounds for height.
   • For arms, on the 6th round, sc in the next 8 sts, ch 10, skip next 6 sts, sc in next 12 sts, ch 10, skip next 6 sts, sc in remaining sts. (60 sts)
   • Work 2 rounds evenly around arms and body.
   • For legs, divide stitches into two for legs, working evenly in rounds and tapering slightly if desired.

Details and Assembly:

1. Facial Features: Using black yarn, sew small buttons or embroider eyes. Use pink yarn to add cheeks.
2. Mouth and Icing Details: Embroider smile and decorate edges of arms, legs, and head with white yarn for icing effect.
3. Bow Tie and Buttons: Using white yarn, crochet small circles and a bow tie, then sew these onto the front panel.
4. Assembly:
   • Place both panels together and sc around, leaving a small opening at one leg. Insert pillow form and sew closed with yarn needle.
