Materials Needed:

• #2 fine/sport weight yarn in pink, cream, and green
• 3mm crochet hook
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Abbreviations:

• ch – chain
• sc – single crochet
• dc – double crochet
• sl st – slip stitch
• st – stitch
• rep – repeat

Pouch Pattern

Base:

1. With pink yarn, ch 25.
2. Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across, turn. (24 sc)
3. Rows 2-22: ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. (24 sc)
4. Fold piece in half lengthwise, sl st edges together to form a tube.

Top Border:

1. Switch to cream yarn.
2. Round 1: ch 1, sc evenly around the top opening of the tube, join with sl st.
3. Round 2: ch 3, dc in each st around, join with sl st.

Drawstring:

1. With pink yarn, ch 80. Fasten off.
2. Weave through dc row of top border.

Flowers:

(Make 3):

1. With cream yarn, form a magic ring.
2. Round 1: ch 1, 10 sc in ring, join with sl st.
3. Round 2: *(sc, dc) in next st, (dc, sc) in next st; rep from * around, join with sl st.
4. Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Leaves:

(Make 2):

1. With green yarn, ch 7.
2. Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, dc in next 2 ch, hdc in next ch, sc in last ch. Fasten off.

Assembly:

1. Using the tapestry needle, sew flowers and leaves to the front of the pouch as desired.
2. Make two pom-poms with pink yarn and attach to ends of the drawstring.
